Jul 20, 2009 · Posted July 20, 2009. with the 120/80/19 your gonna have a wider, yet shorter tire, than your 110/90s so youll have about the same rotational mass if it matters, with he mx-51 youll never run out of traction.. but other than that you probably wont notice very much of a difference. i ran a 100/100/18 and moved up to a 110/100/18 and i just got 90/80-R17 tires are 0.63 inches (16 mm) smaller in diameter than 100/80-R17 tires and the speedometer difference is 2.7%. 130/90-R18 tires are 0.71 inches (18 mm) larger in diameter than 120/90-R18 tires and the speedometer difference is 2.6%.
2.75/80 means the tire is 2.75 inches wide, the 80 refers to the relationship of the tire width to the profile of the tire. 80 means the profile is 80% of the width, which would be 80% of 2.75 or 2.2 inches. The profile is the measured from the edge of the rim (approx) to the top of the tire. Make sense? 90/90 would be 90mm (instead of inches
